Report from canaryville - Brussells

`
While we argue over Hussein's obvious lack of qualifications, yet accept that he may actually win, the world goes on.

I have noted before that Europe is the canary in the coal mine, and that the canary is sick. Yet we pay scant attention to what is happening.

The following are excerts from an article that should send terror into your heart and make you decide to, finally perhaps, teach your own children and grandchildren about the blessings of western civilization and what can happen.

In fact, it is already happening.

This is from the BrusselsJournal.

What we need is to reconstitute as a tribe, with its own culture, totems and taboos (which will be explored in subsequent installments). We need to realize that the overwhelming majority of the nonwhite minorities in our countries act as tribes, and our white Pod elites act as pathfinders and enforcers for these tribes, against us.

To expand a Middle Eastern precept, this is the essence of Third World tribalism:

Me against my brother; me and my brother against our cousin; me, my brother and our cousin against the neighbors; our neighborhood against the city; our city against the country.

That is a philsophy that has brought the so-called Arab world to where it is now. Do we want it in the West?

Even on a milder level, with America’s 45 million Hispanics for instance, in-group membership trumps civic membership. It’s a tribal phalanx competing for money, jobs, political and cultural influence against a much larger but thinly spread ragtag crew of whites devoid of common purpose or identity.

70% of Hispanics support Obama; 21% support McCain. The votes go to where the Hispanic gravy train is longer, and the border open wider. In a country where presidential elections can be decided by a margin of 0.5 % of the votes, the fatal dullness of three generations of Americans has transferred control over their nation largely to the citizens of Mexico.

Note that immigration has not even been mentioned in our election. Hussein's open borders position is known and approved of by the Left. McCain's reluctant "close the borders" position hasn't been seen since the primaries. Yet McCain's reluctance to condemn Hussein's position and embrace "closed borders" might have brought him 2% from Bob Barr's followers. That 2% might give him the election. His not saying anything has not hurt him one bit with the 21% of Hispanics who support him.

The disgrace of persecuting, ruining and jailing good men for the crime of “racism” seems to be a Belgian specialty that few outsiders know except who read this Webzine and a few blogs of limited reach. Recently, Bart Debie was punished for “racism” with a one year prison sentence, a fine of 30,000 euros, loss of his political and civil rights, loss of his police career and loss of his elected position on the Antwerp city council – all because some policemen in his unit, without his knowledge, roughed up Belgian Turks who had attacked them with baseball bats and knives.

Are you starting to see that the fight for freedom of speech is now in Europe but is being lost in the US where a Republican Sec of Defense has outlawed the word "Islamist?" What will happen when a left wing Democrat takes control?

Americans have, so far, preserved more freedoms than Europeans have, but the Obama juggernaut has revealed that roughly 50% of the country, comprising the Pods and the progressives, the socialists and the Marxists, the tribals and the voting illegals, the young, the single females and the sexual deviates (1) want to live in totalitarian Meccania, led by a far-left community organizer drunk on black race-identity.

Already, one can read American headlines like “As Obama era looms, Gates drops 'Islamist' from characterization of terrorism”. Like other tyrannies in history, the Obama regime’s priority will be to disarm their citizen-subjects, even though it violates the American Constitution. The next step will be to muzzle political opponents by enacting the “Fairness Doctrine” – a top priority of the Democratic Party. Conservatives’ access to the only mass medium open to them, radio, will be made financially impossible.

The next steps will then be easier: redistribution of income, redistribution of political power to “minorities” unwilling to wield it according to our proper traditions, and further restriction of any possibilities of effective opposition.

I wonder why our liberal pundits, if any actually still exist, haven't been warning us about this?? As I read them arguing about the strong possibility of violence if Hussein doesn't win, and whether or not Palin is for Cheney's definition of the VP's job I am reminded of Middle Age Priests arguing over how many angels could dance on the head of a pin..... while the Catholic Church became more and more corrupt leading finally to a bloody reformation.

The priests and the pundits are unworthy of their salt.

Being fearful of the truth they will never be able to write it.

Sleep lightly, dear chums. They come for you.

Almost Naked Women

All I want to know is why they didn't have something like this that would need repair when I was a Field Engineer?

The lingerie combination set consists of lace bodice, bikini bottom and faux pearl collar, with the GPS device nestled in the see-through part of the bodice next to the waist.

'This collection... is a wink to women and a challenge to men because, even if she gives him the password to her GPS, she can always turn it off,' Lorio said.

Violence if Obama doesn't win...

The latest one....

However, Stephanopoulos offered no such predictions for a potential McCain victory, no kind words of an historic first woman vice president. Instead, Stephanopoulos predicted "I think people will be wondering what happened" and "there will be a lot of anger."

I have grown tired of these threats.

Everyone making them is increasing the chance that they will happen by making an unstated justification, or in Stephanopoulos case, the justification is:

The ABC News anchor predicted if Obama were to win "the world will look at us and say a big part of the American dream, the part that says anybody can grow up to be president, is not a myth." This of course is in reference to the historic nature of America’s first African-American president.

It is time for the adults to tell people such as Stephanopoulps to shut up and remind everyone that we have police and National Guard trained and ready.

Note to the Republican National Committee

I have been told that you have a national ad out today showing Hussein and the Rev Wright, complete with the Rev shouting, "God damn America!"

Way to go, guys.

Two weeks too late.

Any of you ever heard of "early voting?"

I think we need to change the bus signs.....

Obama shuts off press coverage... redux

weeder gander returns with a lengthy comment. It deserves its own post. His comments are in italics.

Maureen Dowd is not a reporter.

So, reporters are the only ones who can't be kicked off the bus?

Interesting rule. Ever hear of Calvinball.

Huh? And your point is?? The issue is that Hussein kicked off three reporters. With them gone the secrecy shield is even tighter. Dowd is not a reporter.

(I had written.) "I know nothing about the so-cancellation with CNN's Larry King. Is that like Hussein not accepting Hannity's request for an interview?"

BOH was interviewed by Bill O'Reilly, who is to Hannity as Couric would be to Mike Wallace, if you remember the latter.

It is obvious that you don’t watch/listen to Hannity. Comparing him to O’Reilly is like comparing a pit bull to a golden retriever.

I didn't know that there was another rule that a major Presidential candidate had to accept an invitation every time someone with a TV show asked him to come on.

Hussein doesn’t. Especially if he wants to show that he is afraid to face the pit bull. He’d rather sit down with no preconditions with our enemy leaders…

Ms Brown bringing folks up to date:

CNN's Brown - Monday(09/01/2008) I did an interview in the Election Center with Sen. John McCain's campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds. The interview was about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's experience and readiness to be commander in chief. The interview became a bit of a lightning rod.

Over the last few days, I have received thousands of e-mails. For those who didn't see the interview, you can read it or view it below.

McCain's campaign got upset about that interview. McCain officials told CNN I had crossed a line and they canceled a scheduled appearance by McCain on "Larry King Live."

I don't think the interview was over the line. Neither does CNN. And neither do most of you who e-mailed me this week. Thank you, all of you who e-mailed me, including those who disagree. We're always interested in getting past talking points and exploring the issues in any political interview.

You have a right to know the people you are voting for. Our pledge to you on this program is to ask the tough but fair questions and to try to get answers.

I understand you do not understand. The following quote from the transcript demonstrates and summarizes how the Left’s media water carriers went completely beyond reasonableness.

CNN’s Brown: “And if we, you know, as much as everyone might want to give this young woman her privacy, you know that's not going to happen. And so you do risk putting her through an incredibly difficult process by accepting this job if you're her mother. You can't deny that, right?

Read that paragraph again.

“….as much as everyone want to give….”

If they did they would just shut up about it. But they didn’t and their excuse for attacking a 17 year old pregnant young woman is

“…..you know that’s not going to happen.”

And note how the Governor is blamed for the Left's attacks on the daughter.

"so you do risk putting her through an incredibly difficult process by accepting this job if you're her mother."

Utterly and disgustingly and totally self serving. If I knew Brown and saw her walking down the street towards me I would cross to the other side to avoid speaking to her.

BTW – To demonstrate her inexperience and lack of knowledge about a Governor’s duties, she has this exchange.

BROWN: If I can interrupt for one second because I've heard you guys say this a lot. Can you tell me one decision that she made as commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard, just one?

BOUNDS: Yeah. She's made -- any decision she has made as the commander of the National Guard that's deployed overseas is more of a decision Barack Obama's been making as he's been running for the president for the last two years.

BROWN: So tell me. Tell me. Give me an example of one of those decisions. I'm curious, just one decision she made in her capacity as commander in chief of the National Guard.

BOUNDS: Campbell, certainly you don't mean to belittle, every experience, every judgment she makes as commander --

BROWN: I'm belittling nothing. I want to know one judgment or one decision. I want to know what one decision was. I'm not belittling anything, I am curious.

BOUNDS: As she makes a decision how to equip or how to command the national guard in Alaska, that is more --

BROWN: But Tucker, those are the Pentagon's decision, that's Gen. Petraeus, that's the White House.

BOUNDS: Pardon me?

BROWN: No governor makes decisions how to equip or deploy the National Guard. When they go to Iraq, those are decisions made by the Pentagon.

BOUNDS: Campbell, on factual basis, they certainly do. In Alaska, if I have an emergency in your state, the National Guard is under the command of the governor. That is more of a command role than Barack Obama has ever had. I would argue John McCain and Gov. Palin between the two of them have far more command experience in military than either of the candidates on the Democratic side.

So here we see the truth. Brown doesn’t know that Governor’s command their state’s national guard. I wonder if they teach state government in journalism school today? Evidently that, along with good taste and ethics are receiving little attention.

You know, this also demonstrates why the press, ignorant of the how the National Guards is commanded, never understood that Bush couldn't just dispatch the LA National Guard during Katrina and how the DEMOCRATIC Governor's delay was so devasting.

Ignornance about such basic things should not be tolerated.

You know, when Perky Couric didn't challenge Biden's gaffee about Roosevelt comforting the nation over TV regarding the stock market crash in 1929 I thought she was biased.

Hell, she didn't know that Hoover was President and that TV was around!

Repeat. Ignorance about such things shouldn't be tolerated.

To my way of thinking, cancelling an interview with "The King" is shooting one's self in the foot, unless one has been caught doing something unethical, illegal, or just plain stupid. His interviews aren't that demanding, and it made McCain look either childish, petty, a bully, or all of the above.

(I had written) "The reporters, not opinion writers, were tossed off because their employers endorsed McCain. The TV reporter's station was blocked from further access to the campagin because they didn't like the questions."

Not quite:

They have also been encouraged to travel with Obama's vice presidential pick, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden.

So let me see…. They want secrecy around Hussein so they send them to cover the VP whose gaffe’s have been ignored by the press..

(I had written)"no news conferences have been held for over two months."

And the last time McCain has held a news conference was when?
McCain is the most open candidate in history. You know that, I know that.

There have been none with Ms. Palin since her nomination for the VP slot. Just saying.

I really think that mentioning who has and hasn't had a news conference isn't something you should explore as a topic.

Let me see, ABC, CBS……

(I had written)"Hussein is preparing to turn this country into a dictatorship."

At first, he snubbed Larry King but I didn't say anything because I wasn't an aging talking head

then he kicked Maureen and Joe Klein off the bus

but I didn't work for Time, so I didn't say anything

And your point is what? That he doesn’t have Marxist friends and hasn’t expressed Marxists views? Of course he has. Do you remember the 250,000 civilian force that he wants to have as much power as the military??

Link to Hussein’s civilian force and some possible uses.

Here's another, more historical answer to why messianic leaders need a civilian force....

(I had written)"His references to things taking more than 8 years have already started paving the way for seizing power for out "own good."

pointing out that the current President and 6 years of Republican misrule will take a long time to fix doesn't imply that he needs to(or will) stay in office past Jan 2017.

Can you say, “Freudian slip?”

You remind me of the folks who think that if the election comes out for Obama, GWB will declare a state of emergency with some sort of excuse.

See you in the reeducation camps, comrade.

You jest, but here you see the youth being trained by a taxpayer paid for school teacher.

Obama and Joe the Plumber

It's Monday morning and we need a little humor to get us started. The following comes from Grant M.

Barack Obama discovers a leak under his sink, so he calls Joe the Plumber to come and fix it.

Joe drives to Obama's house, which is located in a very nice neighborhood and where it's clear that all the residents make more than $250,000 per year.

Joe arrives and takes his tools into the house. Joe is led to the room that contains the leaky pipe under a sink. Joe assesses the problem and tells Obama, who is standing near the door, that it's an easy repair that will take less than 10 minutes.

Obama asks Joe how much it will cost.

Joe immediately says, "$9,500."

"$9,500?" Obama asks, stunned. "But you said it's an easy repair!"

"Yes, but what I do is charge a lot more to my clients who make more than $250,000 per year so I can fix the plumbing of everybody who makes less than that for free," explains Joe. "It's always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied government to pass this philosophy as law, and it did pass earlier this year, so now all plumbers have to do business this way. It's known as 'Joe's Fair Plumbing Act of 2008.' Surprised you haven't heard of it, senator."

In spite of that, Obama tells Joe there's no way he's paying that much for a small plumbing repair, so Joe leaves.

Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone book looking for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses listed have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Joe's price, Obama does nothing.

The leak under Obama's sink goes unrepaired for the next several days.

A week later the leak is so bad that Obama has had to put a bucket under the sink. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour, and there's a risk that the room will flood, so Obama calls Joe and pleads with him to return.

Joe goes back to Obama's house, looks at the leaky pipe, and says "Let's see - this will cost you about $21,000."

"A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!" Obama quickly fires back.

Joe explains the reason for the dramatic increase. "Well, because of the 'Joe's Fair Plumbing Act,' a lot of rich people are learning how to fix their own plumbing, so there are fewer of you paying for all the free plumbing I'm doing for the people who make less than $250,000. As a result, the rate I have to charge my wealthy paying customers rises every day.

"Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work from the group of people who get it for free has skyrocketed, and there's a long waiting list of those who need repairs. This has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, and they're not being replaced - nobody is going into the plumbing business because they know they won't make any money. I'm hurting now too - all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won't pay their fair share."

Obama tries to straighten out the plumber: "Of course you're hurting, Joe! Don't you get it? If all the rich people learn how to fix their own plumbing and you refuse to charge the poorer people for your services, you'll be broke, and then what will you do?"

Joe immediately replies, "Run for president, apparently."
